Home Inspection

“We discover problems before they become yours”

Buying a home is one of the biggest investments many of us will ever make. The goal of a home inspection is to alleviate your stress by providing you with enough information about the condition of the home to make an informed buying decision.

We inspect every home as if my family is going to live there. We take the time to systematically inspect the home, record our observations, and thoroughly answer any questions you may have. Our easy-to-read reports, detailing our findings with many photos, are typically available for download within 24 hours. Once you’ve had time to read your report we offer a free Zoom meeting to review any issues we may have found during your home inspection.

WDI Inspections

In the United States alone termites account for more than a billion dollars worth of damage to homes every year. Termites and other wood-destroying insects can do considerable damage to a home before they are ever discovered. A home inspection, in addition to a termite inspection will also let you know of conditions around your home that might be conducive to wood destroying insects in order to prevent a future infestation. No home inspection is complete without the addition of a WDI inspection.

Radon Inspection

Radon Gas is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that is emitted from the break down of uranium in the soil and rocks beneath a home. This gas seeps through small cracks and holes in the foundation. It is odorless, colorless and tasteless and is impossible to detect without proper testing.  Radon Gas is the leading cause of lung cancer in non-smokers in the U.S. resulting in over 20,000 deaths annually. Every home has some detectable level of radon. Nearly 1 in 5 homes in New Jersey has elevated levels of radon. It is important to test for radon prior to purchasing a home to protect the health and safety of your family. Often seller’s will cover the cost of remediation.

SAW Home Inspections is certified to perform Radon testing by the State of NJ DEP. It’s recommended to test Radon levels every time a house is sold and every five years thereafter. Order yours now!
